
Hollow CVD diamond insertsHollow CVD diamond inserts are made of 100 % polycrystalline diamond and manufactured to desired shape within tight tolerances. Typical fields of us are wire drawing dies, wire guides and wear resistant nozzles. There is a large degree of freedom in design. They could for example be designed as a Laval nozzle for super sonic flow or a wire drawing die. Typical tolerances are less than ± 10 µm and a surface roughness, Ra of roughly 0.2 µm. The diamond grain size is very fine (0-1 µm) at the inner surface which give a good surface finish and highest wear resistance for erosive applications *.
Diamond tubes straight and profiled can be produced with length upp to 100 mm and diameters ranging from tens of micron to 2 mm (not at the same part).
